YouthTank Mobility Summit with Google Code Next put youth in the Driver's Seat, as organizers, session leaders, panel moderators, entrepreneurs in the city's inaugural mobility summit.
The first Youth Mobility Summit was held at Newlab, reaching over 200 Detroit high schoolers. The event put young people's perspectives first, and was organized "by youth, for youth" in collaboration with YouthTank Detroit, Google Code Next, Design Core Detroit, CCS, Michigan Central, Newlab, TechTown and several other supporters.
Design Core co-facilitated a workshop with Detroit Office of Mobility Innovation on storytelling about possible futures for mobility in Detroit.
Mobility industry and infrastructure leaders addressed ways to create better access to work and school and to prepare for careers.
Lead youth organizations that support Detroit students in technical innovation were featured on Mobility Avenue at the event.
